Dr. Kyle Sela, Doctor of Physiotherapy

Dr. Kyle Sela (PT, DPT, OCS, SCS)  is a highly accomplished sports medicine expert and innovator. Channelling his expertise and passion for innovation, Dr. Sela conceptualized and created AVA Cooling Technology to help athletes perform and recover like never before.

A Board-Certified Sports Specialist (SCS) and Orthopedic Specialist (OCS), he completed a prestigious Sports Medicine Fellowship at Duke University, focusing on the management of Division I athletes. As a US Army Iraq War veteran, he brings discipline and dedication to his work with athletes and people of all levels.

Dr. Sela serves as a strength coach and physical therapist for elite competitors, including Olympic Gold Medalists, NFL Quarterbacks and NCAA athletes from many different sports.

He is also certified in Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA), Functional Range Systems (FRS), Blood Flow Restriction Training, and is a recognized thought leader in return-to-sport testing. Dr. Sela speaks nationally on a number of sports medicine related topics.

    A strength coach and trusted physical therapist for gold medal Olympians, like Kristin Armstrong. Dr. Sela takes just as much pride in coaching the kids in his community as the head middle school basketball coach and strength coach for local high school, college and recreation athletes.
